Crystalys Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focusing on developing next-generation therapies for gout, announced the closing of an oversubscribed $130 million Series B financing to support late-stage global clinical development and commercialization preparation of dotinurad, a once-daily oral URAT1 inhibitor for the treatment of gout. Crystalys is one of AN Venture Partners’ (ANV) portfolio companies.
The round was led by Frazier Life Sciences, with participation from Wellington Management, HBM Healthcare Investments, and other new investors, as well as all existing investors, including ANV.
Proceeds will advance the company's two ongoing registration-directed trials and studies, collectively evaluating the safety and efficacy of dotinurad in patients with gout. Dotinurad is already approved in multiple Asian markets, where it has demonstrated a compelling safety and efficacy profile.
